Alright check out this site and tell me if it sounds good or if we're just getting too old to deal with this kind of thing. Headliners are Morrissey, Killers and The Cure with some others I wouldn't mind checking out. Bonus- How 'bout some Paul McCartney! Yea he's not my favorite but an icon nonetheless. Downside- Tickets are $269 for all 3 days or $99 each day.

Oops I Did it Again!

For real, I am NOT joking... he did it again! Just in case you are part of the 2% of the population that has not heard, Duff fell Wednesday night and broke his OTHER hip. He missed the last stair when he was going downstairs to turn off the lights. He was looking out the back window to see the snow, which in and of itself is quite amazing in Vegas, but misstepped and landed square on his hip. So Dr. Ficklin to the rescue. In his snow boots, he walked over to check out the situation. The initial diagnosis was maybe a deep muscle bruise because he had so much movement without pain. He hobbled upstairs slept OK and went in for an X-ray to see what the verdict was. Well the X-ray tech said in the 30 years that I have been doing this no one has ever walked in on crutches with a broken leg. Well apparently it wasn't his leg that was broken, just his other hip. He called to tell me the news... another surgery. FOR REAL, you are better be jokin' because that is not funny, but you better not be because that is just rude, but you better be because I can't handle this AGAIN! No joke!

So the surgery went well and after both the surgeries the doctor said his bones are strong. He said when I twist the screws in they squeak, which I guess means they are strong? All I know is that at first it was just funny, freakin' funny especially because I just sent my Christmas cards out which detailed some of this the first time. Little did I know that there were 14 days left in the year that would be just as memorable as May! So I think I will send an addendum of my card out in January, just to let you know where we stand. (Oh, I am too funny.) So the reality is starting to sink in 5 days prior to Christmas. I am scared that if I start to cry I won't stop. For the next two weeks I get to completely enjoy my ENTIRE family each and everyday! The joy in the journey couldn't be any more cruel and unusually blessed.

Poor Suzie called me to put in her two weeks notice and I think if she can I should be able to as well. Hopefully we will all survive this again, all I need is a positive attitude.

So here is a shout out to all those who have called, stopped by the hospital, helped with the kids, dinner volunteers, church filler inners, doctors around the corner who might want to move out of the neighborhood because of the Stewart calls, friends who brought gifts (PSP from the Clique guys), so sorry your life sucks basket from Kim and Abe and anyone else who has contributed to the SAVE DUFF foundation.

Hey click - meet the newest member. Kinsley Belle was born Friday 12-12-08 at 1:19pm. She weighed 7 lbs 11 oz, 20 inches long.

Hey who wants to pitch in on a Christmas gift for Duff? I say we get a padded body suit and a motorized chair that goes up and down the stairs. Why? Duff fell last night and broke his other hip! Can you believe it? Hang in there Leslie. We're sure you can make it through this one too without getting divorced. I know a good attorney if you need one though! Let us know what you guys need.

Hope everyone had a good time- sorry Belinda, next time for sure! In fact we can leave Kevin behind if it makes you feel better. I really can't believe how great the kids were- that many kids and I didn't hear any fighting, whining, or grouchies AND I got to sleep in. We'll have to do it again soon.

SOOOO SAD!!!

Hey guys - I just wanted to let you know that I would have gone to Cedar with you over the weekend if I would have known. Kevin got the email and because he was going to be in Egypt he told you he couldn't go but never mentioned it to me. I would have gone without him. Hope we can do it again sometime. In the future, my hubby isn't good with realying messages. One time Leslie and I were suppose to meet for lunch and she waited for me but I never got the message from Kevin so I didn't show up :)
